Purcell Mountain Painters’ Autumn Art Exhibit
September 22 thru October 3, at Pynelogs

Valley residents and visitors are invited to join members of the Purcell Mountain Painters hosting their third annual Autumn Art Exhibit September 28 thru October 4, at Pynelogs. More than ten members are showing their latest works. Co-exhibiting with the Purcell Mountain Painters and sponsors are local artists June Thomson and Paula Cravens. The exhibition and sale will be open to the public daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Throughout the week, PMP members will entertain visitors with live painting demonstrations. Join the artists for wine and cheese from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Friday, September 24. Please tell your friends and plan now to attend.

The quality of PMP members’ works continues to improve, the result of a busy and productive year. In addition to meeting weekly to share expertise and enjoy painting, PMP held two workshops with recognized artists Liz Wilitzen and Doug Swinton, and participated in CVArts successful Tour of the Arts. Our busy fall season is underway with several new members, both experts and beginners.

Purcell Mountain Painters, an informal collaborative of more than 40 professional and amateur painters drawn from Canal Flats to Briscoe, welcomes anyone interested in painting and wanting to improve the quality of their work. Members meet every Tuesday morning, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Invermere Seniors Hall to paint and exchange expertise in the engrossing activity of painting. The Purcell Mountain Painters regularly organize and offer workshops by recognize experts from across Western Canada. Membership is open to anyone who loves art and is willing to become involved and share knowledge.
